Hello wonderful volunteers! 🎄✨

Here’s the full Volunteer Information & Day-Of Details—including arrival, parking, food vouchers, zone leads, and areas of responsibility.

​

✅ Arrival + Setup

• Please arrive at 8:00 AM for setup.

• Once setup is complete, you’re welcome to leave,  you are not obligated to stay all day (unless you’d like to! It's going to be a fun festive day!).

🅿️ Parking

• Free volunteer parking is on 18th Street (both sides of the street).  Park as close as you can to each other to maximize space. (If you can, carpooling helps a ton!)

👕 What to Wear

• JBBY souvenir volunteer t-shirt

• Black pants

• Comfy closed-toe shoes are highly recommended

• If you didn’t get your t-shirt already, no worries, I will bring them with me on the day of the event. ✅

🍳 Breakfast + Water

• Breakfast will be provided in the morning.

• Water will be available all day at the JBBY tent — please stay hydrated!

🌯 Food Voucher Info ($30)

• Every volunteer will receive a $30 food voucher good at any food truck, including Deandra’s Taste of Jamaica food tent.

• Important: Please write the cost of your meal on the voucher ticket before handing it to the vendor.

• I’ll reimburse the food trucks for  the amount written on the ticket.

🚚 Vendor Load-In Plan (How We’ll Direct Vendors)

To keep traffic moving and vendors placed correctly, here’s the flow:

​

1) Vendor Check-In (Curbside)

Curbside check-in teams will confirm the vendor’s zone, check them off the list, and keep vehicles moving.

​

• Yellow (Curbside): Reggie, Tavares, Tavares' son

• Orange (Curbside):  Adrian, Lance

• Blue/Red (Curbside): Curry, Bruce

Curbside role includes:

• Confirm vendor is in the correct zone

• Check off names on the vendor list

• Instruct vendors to drop products quickly, then move to parking

• Direct vendors into the park to meet their zone team

2) Zone Support (Inside the Park)

Zone teams will meet vendors entering the park and walk them to their designated spot.

• Red Zone: Bruce & Monica

• Santa’s Village: Kathy, Benita, Diane, Vickie

• Red Velvet Cake Bake-Off: Lynn, Harriett, Kenia

• Chair Setup: Willie, KG, Luther

• Stage: Bridget, Linda, Armani

🛍️ Shopping

If you’d like to shop with the vendors during the event, bring cash or card for purchases.
